Details:
This is Danu's second album in the genre of world fusion spiritual sounds. Her first, Yemaya, heralded the start of a new wave of spirit music using the elemental sounds of voice and drum, inspired by the First Nations sounds of the North Americas as well as shamanic music across the globe. People of One Earth develops this sound even further bringing in more of her original sound as a jazz musician, with jazz drums and bass being added to the mix. The result is a powerful and seamless set of songs which are moving and thought provoking. With her amazing voice always at the helm Danu steers us through the sounds of India, Ireland and Africa paying tribute to nomads such as the wandering Romany people, and the album's title track is a heartfelt plea to recognize our humanity as people of one earth, one sky, one water while at the same time celebrating our diversity. It is a time to realize we are all living on the same planet and we need to correct our unbalanced ways if we are to survive with any
hope of harmony in the future.
