After Brighton electro-funk band Speedway 5 retired from the fray, guitarist Francis Field went his own way and The Duke Of Burgundy and Casual Friends arrived.

With help from the The Squire of Somerton, the Speedway guys, and 80âs synth guru Seth âReham Lincolnâ Cooke, he made an album which captures his great love of many corners of his record collection, be they reggae , folk rock, psychedelic goingâs on and of course funk.

The lyrics take us to post-wall Berlin, Macca and Linda happy on a Funky Mull and supernatural goingâs on in Labyrinths under Brighton, the Frisco of the UK. In a recent interview with Funky Ferret he said this, âI saw an advert for a Chicken Tikka Lasagne, it might initially sound wrong, but maybe all those bad boys coming together work, I think my albums a bit like that!â
