Hi, I am a Scottish singer / songwriter based in Zürich, Switzerland. You are looking at my 6th CD - Defective. My style, I think, is rather original. I write unusual lyrical twists on many different themes. This music tends towards lofi with alternate lush and dirty passages - my songs are primarily piano ballads, that's how I write them. During recording though I throw in a little lushness, with strings, viola, female backing vocals and occasionally some dirt with guitars and noise effects. Throughout this my distinctive and engaging voice (that's what other's say - honest!) is always given prominence. Defective is a cynical exploration of global themes ranging from nine to five slavery to trigger happy warmongers burning their way to oblivion. It is also, I hope, a bit funny. I hope you like it.
