Details:
Raimundo Santos, currently residing in Angola Africa, grew up in Philadelphia PA where he gained most of his experience as a Music Director and Piano Player. Raimundo holds a bachelors degree of Music from Temple university's Esther Boyer College of Music. He graduated as a jazz voice major. While at Temple University he studied piano privately with Mr. Bertram L. Miller " A Great Teacher"
Raimundo has worked as a music director in many musical theatre houses and churches. He's played the piano and composed various styles of music. In the late nineties he began to really enjoy playing contemporary jazz which lead him to be the keyboard player for a New Jersey based band called "Mysterious Traveller" "Those were fun times." In 2003 Raimundo Santos began to branch out and landed a job as Music Director for the musical "Ain't Misbehavin' " directed by Jay Berkow at the Florida Repertory Theatre in Fort Myers, Florida "what a great cast."
With various job offers on the table He chose to accept a position in Angola, Africa as the director of Escola de Musica Mestre Webba a music school in center city Luanda the capital of Angola. In January 2004 he began working at the school and in that year he became the vocal instructor for the nationally televised singing contest "Estrellas Ao Palco," for two seasons, where he gained notoriety as Professor Raimundo. In 2007 Raimundo was introduced to a catholic organization (As Irmas Paulinas) by a friend, Paulo Paz, from the Angolan association of christian music.
In 2008 The Paulinas had their first CD release entitled "Mama Africa" Produced by Raimundo Santos. The CD has 11 songs with the theme of peace in Africa by various artists. Raimundo produced their second CD (13 songs) entitled "Renova" Featuring the artist Miguel Buila which was released in 2009.
" Producing these two CD projects has helped me reconnect with my love of music thus making "Coming Home" the perfect Title song for this CD.
