Jennifer "Nesi" Chianesi is a 19 year old singer, rapper, songwriter, and producer from Cranston, Rhode Island. Long list of influences include: TLC, Celine Dion, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Keyshia Cole, Tupac, Kanye West, Pink, Missy Elliot, and David Foster. Growing up listening to such artists, she understands how music can influence people and shape their whole lives. Nesi decided to leave Quinnipiac University, where she was studying Communications, after only one semester and focus all of her time and energy on her music. That first semester she was there, however, she found a producer in New York City (Mike âGâ Guerriero of Gem Music Demos) to help record 2 demos. From there, the rest is history. Nesi began producing and recording her own tracks to save money. Last summer, she won grand prize in the Essence Hip-Hop Songwriting contest held by Berklee College of Music, winning the chance to learn about the music industry there, all expenses paid, during a 5-week summer program. Her song, âShake Upâ, was selected by a panel of hip-hop celebrity judges- Yo-Yo, Pete Rock, and Roxanne Shante- and a handful of Berklee scholars. She just started attending Berklee College of Music this summer majoring in "Music Business" She's ready to change the world with her "'lyrical miracles"...
