Details:
Deno "Young Cutta" Tomlinson was born on December 18, 1989, in Kingston, Jamaica. Coming from humble beginnings, this young man needed an escape from his surroundings. Around the age of eleven, Deno had a friend who would finally show him the escape he hoped for-writing rhymes. Sooner than later, Deno added his own creativity to his rhymes. He became lost in its essence, and finally was able to get away. He would realize this wasnât the only trip heâd take. Georgia was his new residence. Here, Deno met Dante Spain âGOGOâ, soon to be a very good friend . At the time, they both found interest in Rocafella. It became their new inspiration. More than ever, Deno had found his place, a place he felt he belonged. A couple in the friendship, Deno found his artist name, Youngcutta. With this new confidence and sense of belonging, Deno ""YoungCutta" started to freestyle other artists. By the time he was in the eighth grade, he had released his own demo. However, this was not enough for this young man. He felt an urge to create more than just âcookie-cutterâ music. He wanted to create his own feel for the beat-a âhandâs onâ approach. Curious to do so, a friend showed him a program on how to compose his own original instruments. This would give his music the stamp of authenticity he desired that would set his songs above and aside from the rest. Not only did Deno "YoungCutta" love his new passion of beat-making, but so did his peers. By ninth grade, Deno "YoungCutta" was selling beats to other local artists. Almost immediately, his beats caught on to the web, like a phenomenon, and his clientele grew. Things were speeding up, and his career goals were changing, as he saw a possible future in the rap game. Thus, he created his own rap group. In this rap group, Deno "YoungCutta" was the head producer. All of the recording was done using his equipment and funds. The group became local celebrities as their music hit airways including Foxy 103.3. Every night, for two weeks straight, the group could hear their own songs on the radio. Unfortunately, the group lasted about as long as the fame did because of personal issues though eventually, Deno "YoungCutta" would work with members on individual projects making beats. Deno, himself, would continue to pursue his passion of music independently. He began performing at local talent shows in Augusta, Georgia, and South Carolina opening up for other well-known artist in those areas. He was proud that his music was crossing borders, but he still wanted to maintain his fan base locally. By his senior year in high school, he had recorded and distributed two albums independently. His peers began to respect him as an artist. This motivated him even more to pursue his music career on a different level in higher education. His school of choice was in Miami, Florida at SAE Institute majoring in music production and audio engineering. Currently, he is working on his debut album entitled âTALK OF DA SOUTHâ which is scheduled to be released late December early January.
