From the muddy banks of the Carquinez Straits comes a secret society of rockers ready to party your pants off. With Californiaâs East Bay Area being their beloved home, the Mystic Knights Of The Cobra seem like they have been playing music since the beginning of time , but in all actuality have been playing locally and down to Southern California since 2006. In what has been a flurry of action, they have played with the likes of Guttermouth, Ginger Coyote& The White trash Debutantes, Naked Lady Wrestlers, Maldroid, The Zoopy Show, Primadonna, The Look and Pocos Perro Locos, often bringing more attendees then the headliner they play with. Mixing punk, hard rock and old school with the occasional rap/break-beat or booty bass line, the Cobraâs are hard to put in a in any musical box. Swerving and searing around crisp guitars vivid drums, vocalists Baby and Lady Cobra donât take no lip as they conjure up stylings reminiscent of Tilt and The Runnawayâs. Also known for a bit of a vaudeville stage-show, a magic act or full costumed extravaganza are not unexpected. When the Cobras arenât Rocking your faces off they enjoy the following leisurely activities: âDrinking cheap champagne and malt liquor, stealing the clothing of local celebrities, hardcore porn, midget racing, peeing on paddy wagons, hanging out with Vince Vaughn, Gambling, driving fast, lying, Trannyâs, Russian roulette, secret blow jobs, not thinking ahead, and doing everything better than you.â Mystic Knights Of The Cobra In August of 2008, the Cobraâs were asked by the Green Day side-project band, Foxboro Hot Tubs to come along for a series of shows up and down the California coast ending their mini-tour at Los Angelesâ famed Roxy. That was really inspiring, to see a band doing stuff thatâs far more creative than anything Iâve seen in a really long time, and theyâre from this shit town that Iâm from. I purchased the album after a friend recommendation,never hearing of them. When I finally heard "there is no end", I must honestly say I was blown away. The album blends Punk Rock, Electronica, Funk, and what I call "jingle Rock", with catchy smart lyrics and hooky guitar licks.This reminds me of when music was fun.I highly recommend this album. A must own for fun people.
