Details:
Born in 1978, I grew up in West Branch, Michigan while visiting my father in Gaylord. Started playing guitar and singing at 10 years old and would like to forget about how horrible I was. Now I realize that is impossible. Since then, I have always wanted to venture into many different venues, such as playing with our highschool choir as needed, filling in for bass guitar, regular guitar, or whatever was a crisis at the time, and especially: an emergency sound technician. Sound equipment for some reason LOVES ME. When I am at the controls the equipment says,"Look what I can do!" The people that know me well enough totally back this up. That's why I will get a phone call at the last minute on a Saturday because I happen to have an extra headphone amp(or whatever the case), because I am the available sound nerd at the time. Even started a band in five minutes once and played a six song set with people I never met before. Thank goodness for Brian's web-browser on his phone! I can fake alot of things, but I GOTTA have lyrics or I am forced to make up my own. Chances are, they're not going to be very serious. ANYWAY, time and again I have proven to have the ability to make due with whatever is available to make something amazing happen.
So who really IS the MAD Scientist? I mean, there's a ton(literally) of them, right? Well, it all started with a special band project.....I've always had a knack for getting involved in the impossible, but as usual the stakes ALWAYS get higher as the next one comes. So this band in particular was trying out a lead vocalist for a metal band. They required an audition of writing my own line to thier material of which they performed and requested two songs in four days time. I came back in four days to submit FOUR songs to thier pleasant surprise. So the bass player asks,"What'd you do? Stay up all night like a MAD Scientist or something?" This also was quite comical at the time since being in Florida we were experiencing some pretty exciting lightning storms those nights I was "brain storming". That name stuck, even when I tried to change it to Tsunami. Yeah, I'm horrible at band names. In a nut-shell, I make scientiffic calculations based on the laws of our known universe to come up with new things, even bending them a little wherever possible. The more I understand, the more I create new things. That's what makes me the REAL MAD Scientist, other than the fact that I have a habit of ticking other people off. So here I am, still putting together odd things that nobody would ever expect. THAT, you can count on. Don't wait on ANYBODY. There's no reason to if you're the one who's drivin'.
