MAT Trio is a chamber music group, which for its nature, has not musical limits.
It draws elements from all sorts of music, indipendently from type, style and period, considering it as a big endless coffer, full of precious contents.
In their programmes live together authors like Bach and Zappa, Handel and Glass, the Renaissance and the Vanguard periods, original compositions, interest in jazz, written music and radical improvisation.
No musical materials or so supposed are rejected, but they are transcribed, arranged, recomposed and filtered through the contemporary sensibility, the instrumental resources, the sound. These are the elements to which the trio dedicates a lot of time.
And now close your eyes... Let yourselves be taken by hand through this musical journey, which will take you around through the time, visiting now mysterious and unknown places, now familar and reassuring ones, now disconcerting places and at the end of the trip... take care!
