Dropped jaws and tired feet arenât uncommon at a 10 Minutes Down (10MD) concert, as the band continues to impress and inspire new audiences all over the United States with amazing energy and a sound that canât be ignored. 10MDâs live shows are legendary, the members spending more time in the air than on the stage. Their ever-changing, frantic effort to conquer the music scene both in their home town of Spokane, WA and the rest of the world seems not to have depleted an ounce of energy from this hard working band. But this desire to constantly play live has not prevented the band from recording a couple of critically acclaimed albums. Their last release, The Manhattan Project continues to sell briskly, having sold out of its first pressing in just over a year. The 12 track LP was one of the most highly anticipated releases in the Northwest last year. The Manhattan Project showcases this diverse set of bandmates, pulling together their influences into a driving amalgamation of rock, punk, and ska. Songs like âAbsent Gazeâ and âFalling On My Faceâ demonstrate that things are truly evolving into a unique sound all its own. 10 Minutes Down hit the road with their new album in hand looking to spread their brand of horn rock hooliganism to new audiences as far away as Texas, and they took their reputation with them, delivering the goods to 18 cities across the West. So far, 10MD has played in more than 25 cities across the United States, consistently making the Northwest circuit by playing more than 75 shows a year.

Some of their reputation for scrappiness and self-promotion also comes from 10MDâs involvement with the Vanâs Warped Tour where the band performed with such acts as Green Day, Blink 182, NOFX and Less than Jake. Their sets have impressed promoters so much that they have played VIP parties for headlining bands and have been featured two years in a row on the tourâs website.

The bandâs website, 10minutesdown.com, has quickly become one of the most popular websites in Spokane as evidenced by their Best Local Website award in 2002. The site includes a mix of features for fans and industry personnel alike, and receives an average of 4,000 hits a month.

Since winning Spokaneâs local best three years in a row, 10 Minutes Down looks to expand that reputation nationally. In 2002, the band penned a deal with Warner Bros. Television to write songs for their Kids WB cartoon series; allowing the band to reach a whole new audience on a national level.
