They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery, until the Cease and Desist Order arrives at the front door. When a group gets as good as this one, it is inevitable that the artist(s) they are copying will get uncomfortable. Well, thatâs what happened. The story is well known by those in the business, but basically they were asked to stop. Apple Corps, the business end of the Beatles brought charges and asked the band to quit. Long story short - after the courts were finished the group is still performing and after a name change and the use of a required disclaimer (as indicated above), 1964 lives and has been breaking records ever since. Rolling Stone Magazine has referred to the band as âThe #1 Beatles Tribute in the World!â

In November of 2005 Blue Ridge Public Television, a PBS Affiliate produced an award winning Television show featuring the band. We shot two live concerts and produced a great show. This CD is the Audio track of the show. It was recorded directly from the stage, and not using the theater sound system. Hear the Great music of the Beatles as you never have, as though the beatles arrived on the scene today and did VH1! Watch your PBS affiliate for the show to air, (or call them to ask them to air the program).
