This is a cool meeting between the european band Mezcal Jazz Unit and some famous traditional vietnamese musicians, featuring also the most famous vietnamese jazz musician Tran Manh Tuan. Recorded in Saigon 2005.

This production was born out of the friendship between two groups of musicians who, although coming from very different musical traditions, have more in common than one might imagine. What they share is the capacity to improvise, to create a unique universe of sound based on a musical idea.
This recording is the expression of this shared and priviliged experience between musicians.
