Rob Baird has written I Am Yours as a response to so much of the Christian music that is out there. Many Christian artists sing about Jesus Christ like he is their girlfriend or in such a vague way that you hardly know what they are getting at.

Rob has made his lyrics very clear and understandable. The music reflects a triumphant attitude that is lacking in so much of Christendom. If Jesus Christ is truly the King of kings and Lord of Lords; if He is the Lord God omnipotent who reigns; if he is risen from the dead and has defeated sin and death; if he owns and governs this world, then as Christians we need to display that in our attitude, thinking, decisions, and music.
