Jets to July formed in July 2008. Mike Devins (Drums) and Jason Sheppard (Vocals/Guitar/Rhodes) had been working together in other projects for 5 years, but did not find what they were searching for until the addition of friends Jacob Mahoney (Lead Guitar) and Rhiannon Lewallen (Bass). Together they were able to create a deeper and more melodic sound than in any project before, utilizing large structures and upbeat tempos. The band has created a stong base for powerful, stuck in your head, rock music. Their first EP is a blend of high energy toe-tappers and hooks laced with rich layers of harmony and melody lines. Lyrics are often bitter sweet, emphasizing life's trials but reminding us that those trials are often what makes life worth living.
