Bridgette aka Moonbeam: A happy, glowy kinda girl.
I was born to a hippie mom and a hippie stepdad. So I became a "hippie" by proxie, I suppose. I grew up listening to Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, CSN, Cat Stevens, The Beatles, The Who, and the list goes on... (can't forget Bob Dylan and Buffy Sainte Marie) Most kids my age had no clue who some of these people were! What a shame... anyway, I've been singing since I could. As a professional singer, I've been in all kinds of bands and left that world to do some music in a way that had some deeper meaning to me. In 2002, I began writing and recording my first CD, "I Am Enough" (which is available here, at CDBaby as well). I was 40 when that was released. (2003)Kind of a big deal for me. It was a pretty intense, personal experience, letting that music move through me and out. I still have a challenge in letting it go; it can be scary showing yourself to the world through your music. I did a very relaxing, introspective, self-love CD with a fabulous harpist, Amy Camie. Our CD, "Simply Beautiful" is also here on CDBaby.(2004) Gorgeous, soft style.
This CD, "Let the Love Shine", is my baby. (released 12/19/05) This is music that I've loved since I can remember. I always sang along to the albums and could FEEL what they were singing about. I'm a very accomplished Feeler. So when it came about that I would record these songs, I was just ecstatic. The person who did the arrangements, Steve Hoover, loved it too and it shows. We had great fun, Steve and I and all the talented musicians who contributed their gifts to this CD. It makes ya feel good. It brings some happiness into the world. That's my job... I hope it makes you feel happy and connected to a world that believes in love. Spread the word and Let the Love Shine!!
