Branch Rickey Was a Man - Branch Ricky was a Band

Branch Rickey, the man, was a person who, through his words, deeds and actions, changed the face of Major League Baseball forever. Mr. Rickey, through a stroke of his pen, signed Jackie Robinson to a major league baseball contract, forever shattering the color barrier in the sport. And that was only one of his actions that truly effected the game that we know today.

Branch Ricky, the band, was formed in 1995 in Seattle, uniting a group of musicians (who happen to all be baseball fans of varying degrees) in the common cause of making music that stood out from the norm.

The band has been in seclusion for several years, and members have gotten involved in other projects and have written lots of new material. However, this special 12 song Limited Edition CD is being re-released to the public in 2002 as a tribute to and a reminder of what the Seattle music landscape looked like in the waning years of the 90's.
