"Bradford"? One might say. The name seems so familiar. "Bradford" is a multi-talented artist, writer, arranger, producer vocalist, and instrumentalist. After spending many years backing nationally acclaimed recording artists, Pittsburgh native, Greg Bradford made a conscious decision to do his own thing - spending time, energy, and money into developing his personal unique, flavorful music style. After wrapping up his final recording session for the album project "Joy and Pain" with Frankie Beverly & Maze, Bradford returned home to Pittsburgh from the musically rich Oakland, California Bay Area. Bradford's first musical production was "Peace, Love & Soul". Eric St. James, former host of the nationally syndicated SBN STRZ helped to break this cut nationally. Upon launching Bradford's solo career, Bradford Productions, BouLaa Records and Bouie Publishing was formed. During the late '80s, a single, "Faraway Lady" became popular internationally, specifically in France. This exposure to the international music marketplace was just the boost that Bradford's career needed. Bradford relocated to Atlanta, Georgia.

Since that time Bradford's "Message In The Music" album has continued to sell in England and have also been played in Australia and Japan. In the U.S.A., Bradford has hit the charts in the music trade magazines. The southern music market place has also extended a welcome arm to this unique songster.

The "Proverbs" album, a melodic Reggae album, was released with the collaberation of J.J., Froggy and Zap, formerly of the S.W.A.M.M.P. Band.

Bradford's immediate concern is geared towards humanity, the humanity of our precious Black Race.

His current CD, "Take Heed" radiates this attitude with songs such as "Comin' On Strong", "Mercy Is What We Need Today", "Think, Think About It", "Take Heed", What's Next", "Peace Of Mind" and "That's The Way It Goes". These cuts will hit right at home, from the community to the world, especially in the wake of the disaster "Katrina". My prayers are with the survivors.

These songs are just the tip of the iceberg of Bradford's deepest feelings. The current album "Take Heed" reflects the status of the society today. His diverse music reaches people of all ages and walks of life. "Bradford" is a true "Messenger Of Music".
