This âDown to Earth Divaâ has brought her A-game to EnFamous, and now itâs your chance to get a taste of her energy, her passion, and her soul.

THE STORY/INSPIRATION BEHIND EACH SONG:

"LIVE YOUR LIFE"
This song tells the story of the lives of so many people who have lost their jobs and about people who are dealing with tough times. When I first heard the track, I knew I loved it. But, it would take a minute before I would write something to it. Well, one day while I was sitting in my car in a parking lot up at Morris Brown College (in Atlanta, GA) waiting to go in to rehearse for a play that I was in, I pumped up the track and kept listening to it, and then all of a sudden, I started singing the hook/chorus to it "Gotta make a change, gotta live your dreams, no more excuses, face reality. Gotta do what's right, toss your pain to the sky, throw your hands up high, and live your life, your life." The second verse comes straight out of a real life situation where I watched a co-worker lose her job. Her boss literally poked his head outside the door, looked at us, and then closed his door! It reminded me of a scene from the Color Purple 'cause "Mister" was soooo cold. The bridge to Live Your Life is extremely powerful and very emotional and I hope that you will get the EnFamous CD when it becomes available so you can hear the entire song.

"JUST FOR YOU"
I sometimes don't know what I'm going to write until I hear a track. I was sent a few tracks by King of The Hill Records to listen to and this one stood out. I started out thinking that this would be a follow-up song to another song that I wrote on the EnFamous CD called Alibye. But, it turned into an entirely different song with a different feel. I had to go deep on this song and reach back to different memories with different situations. I have dealt with verbal abuse mainly, and sometimes it's the worst. I have always been determined to make it, so, I never stayed with someone or around someone who tried to put me down. It's total poison to my soul. I had an argument with a guy all night one night about my music, and the next day we were no longer an item. But, through all the negative situations, I'd like to just say that I have met some really "positive" guys who uplift me and who celebrate me. I think it's important to speak about both sides of the situation. I can openly tell you that I broke down on the 2nd verse. I cried not just for myself, but, for so many women - especially teenagers and college students who are out there dealing with someone (friends, family, etc.), trying to put them down when they are struggling to live their dreams. Trust me. I know the struggle and the pain. "Just For You" speaks about the negative, but, also, about leaving "it" all behind. On the 3rd verse I speak about the new guy and that's deep too because I write about what I hope for (fingers crossed). The bridge is something you just gotta hear, so please be sure to get this song or the entire CD when it's available online JULY 2009 (www.DigStation.com or www.CDBaby.com). "Just for You" could be about you finding YOU, or, if you're lucky enough - finding that special someone to help you get through a tough situation. So, if you're struggling in a bad situation today, just listen to this song (cry if you have to), but, just make a promise to yourself that you will move forward someway, somehow.

"Nothing Wrong"
The story behind nothing wrong is so simple, yet, so meaningful! Okay, so, one day, the producer, J. Hash calls me up and excitedly says... "yo I got somethin' for you!" Now, being that I've heard this many times from different people, I didn't get too excited, but, I was interested. So, I came over to his spot and upon hearing the track, I was "hooked." It was hot! And, then J. Hash pulled out this tiny crumpled up piece of paper that he had lyrics written on and he began to attempt to sing the hook to me... "Nothing wrong with lovin' me and lovin' you, it's what we do, this love is true - 'cause I can't live my live without you." And, after he finished singing the hook along with the track, I was sold. He told me what he was trying to express in the song, and I was totally feelin' where he was coming from. It's about a woman who's busy trying to make things happen for her and trying to get that paper. Her man is feeling a little insecure, so in the song she's trying to reassure him of her love and lets him know that she doesn't want to live her life without him. Can she love him and love herself too?? Anyway, I took the track home and worked on it fast and furious while the flow was still in my soul. I wrote the verses, the bridge, and the rest is history! Nothing Wrong is a powerfully sexy song with realness written all in it and through it.

WHICH FLAVA?
This is such a fun 'n sassy song! It started out to be a "remix" of another song that was to be on the EnFamous CD. However, that song never made it, and so I wrote something totally different to this "Choo Da Specializt" track and called it "Which Flava?" When I first heard this track it just blew me away. It's so funky and so hottt! It took me a minute to figure out the approach I wanted to take on it 'cause it could go so many ways. So, like I usually do, I blasted the track in my car wherever I would go. I had to be careful not to speed 'cause the beats sent me into an auto drive/speed zone. It's crazy! So, after many ideas for the song, I decided to stick with a subject that I like sooo very much - men! Also, I wanted to write something that would be fun for people to bounce to! This song is about total admiration and appreciation for guys, and it's also about diversity. I LOVE the various colors, shades, sizes that guys come in and I enjoy different cultures. I don't think nor do I live in a box. So, ladies, tell me... "Which Flava do YOU Like?"

"ALIBYE"
This is a song about wanting another man even though you already have a man at home (can anyone relate? - smile!). So, really, this is what really happened.... when I heard the track, I started groovin' to it. I thought it was nice, but, I didn't know if I could write anything to it when all of a sudden I opened my mouth and started singing the hook - "You got me thinkin' of an alibi!" That's how it happens for me sometimes, the music sings to me and the lyrics just start to flow. I LOVE this song because it's a wonderful fantasy. I see some really fine guy walking down the street and I approach him, and things get heated. Whew! I immediately want to get to know him, so I start thinking of an alibi to tell my guy at home. Drama! But, exciting (lol!). I get hyper just thinking about it (smile!)

"BUSTED"
"I'm busted! He saw me and you at the rendezvous at twelve!" Okay, this song is just full of real-life situations. It's about this woman who loves her man, but he don't make time for her, and so, to put it bluntly, she creeps/cheats or whatever you want to call it. She starts spending time with a guy that listens to her and pays attention to her. She knows that she's wrong, but, the flip-side to the story is that her man ain't so innocent either! Ladies, we should never ever take all the blame (smile!). BUT, there is another "twist" to this story. If you like R-Kelly and his in the closet saga, then you're gonna flip for BUSTED! Find out the "whole" story when you get the EnFamous CD!!! - To Be Continued.
