The Remedy, is a energetic Rock and Roll Band who believe that music should come from the heart,and soul. The band formed in May of 2008.
Guitarist Joe Riskosky and singer/ bassist Ron Leard were brought together by the interest in writing and playing the same kind of music. Drummer John Cafaro was included to complete the trio. Influenced by late 60s and 70s Rock, and Blues, The Remedy came up with an album that captured a sound that they felt was missing from most of today's music.
Their first album ''Wild Thin Mercury'' is their statement with songs filled with angst,love,anger,joy,lust, and all the things that make life worth living.

The Remedy's sound is best described as, Overdriven rhythm guitar's, with tastefull bluesy leads ala Humble pie Clapton, Ron Wood. Variety of vintage effects Fuzz, Wah, Uni Vibe were used. Melodic sometimes driven bass lines,linking with the drums creating shuffles, fills, and grooves for the sake of the songs. Vocals sounding like a cross between Ozzy and Beck . The album also contains hints of B-2 organ sounds, and a Rhodes. Overall if you like this era of music, you will enjoy this album.
