Long time friends Peter LeClair and Carmen Paradise join forces to release The Marvins first full length release. Lucky Stone quickly brings the listener into the lives of the songwriters, telling heart felt tales that can only derive from an autobiographical experience. The album takes you through the journey of their psyches, from their ooey-gooey love-filled personalities, that can be heard in such tracks as "Lucky #3" and "Mr. Foolish," to their biting cynicism, as is evident in such tracks as "Hold Your Breath" and "Pen to Paper." The album makes you feel as though The Marvins are there in your living room, telling you there stories with a modest-honesty that makes you feel that you've known them your whole lives. As Paradise states in the "tititular" line, "I'll just give you this. It's my Lucky Stone. If you always have it with you, then you'll always have your home."
