Tony Wagner grew up on a small ranch in Bakersfield, CA. It was here that his father, Jon, first exposed him to a simplistic yet divine beauty that's possible with just one man and his guitar. After receiving a radio for his 9th birthday, Tony's musical horizons expanded to include the yodeling of Jimmie Rodgers, the heartbroken crooning of Hank Williams and the baritone to rattle your bones of Johnny Cash.

As Tony started experiencing life beyond the farm, he all too naturally began documenting his tales of hope and woe in song. This is Tony Wagner Country marks Tony's first studio release and features his most prominent singles.

Tony has no ambition to top any pop chart or play to any arena, but his humble, thoughtful lyrics aspire to encourage folks to be honest first and foremost with themselves. It's only natural then that they will be honest with the folks around them.
