This debut release from Boomchix features the dual female lead and harmony vocals of Janice Dunbar and Barb Wilkins, and delivers a genre-bending mix of alt-country, folk-rock, bluegrass-acoustic-pop and roots-rock influenced original songs.

Barb and Janice have years of experience singing together in various music projects, providing back-up harmony vocals for several performers both live on stage and in the studio.

With Boomchix, they bring their combined vocal sound to the forefront, and have found the perfect vehicle to showcase their original songs and creative expression. Influenced by, and fans of many different music genres, their music as a whole isn't easy to put into one definitive category. Instead, each song is given the musical treatment best suited to the intent of the song itself - without losing the cohesive integrity of who they are as performers.
