Tonya Boyd-Cannon: Singer, Musician, Song Writer, former Director of the Saint James A M E Church Youth Choir, director of the African Methodist Episcopal 8th District Youth Choir under the leadership of Bishop Robert Thomas and assistant musician at St James. Tonya was featured vocalist at the former Jazzland Theme Park, in New Orleans.

Tonya is an anointed singer who was a resident of the lower 9th ward in New Orleans, LA and just as so many others that were victimized by Hurricane Katrina; Tonya, her husband, John and their two toddlers aged children left New Orleans with only the clothes on their backs.

Thanks be to God for the support of friends and relatives, Tonya and her family have risen from victim to victor. The enemy is powerless over Godâs anointed and appointed. This is only the beginning of what God has in store for this gifted young woman and her family.

She is the daughter of Pastor Samuel H. Boyd Sr. and Gloria Graise Boyd, a wife, mother of two, a student at Tougaloo College, a member of Pearl Street AME Church and a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.
