Details:
"Espedair Street" is a collection of songs written by William Barbero through a wide stretch of time of about 5 years.

Opening with the pop-oriented twin guitars of "Newsong", the album quickly moves to the prog odd time signatures of "Seven Eleven", probably to this date the manifesto of William Barbero's playing. A clean smooth lydian melody leaves space to the heavy 7/4 riff and the minblowing solo that makes this track an outstanding piece of modern electric guitar.
Track 3, "One of those funky days", was inspired by the delay bass on Pink Floyd's 1971 album Meddle. The only thing in common, though, is the bass effect. This track is 100 funky jazz.
"The Great Escape" is a well constructed episode of techno-rock. Again, a spacious ear-catching melody leads the way to another crazy solo with harmonised guitars and fast runs at the speed of light.
Track 5 is "The march of the Alien Ants Army". One of the more complex tracks of the album. A power prog rock song that desribes the bloody (but victorious) fight with which the Alien Ants took control of Mars in the year 3057.

Other tracks feature bluesy sounds (Blue Notes, Lady), more heavy rock (No Brakes, Last Hero), an amazing tribute to the genius of Gypsy Jazz virtuoso Django Reinhardt, the power funk madness of "Chinese Boxes" and more and more.

An album to discover track by track, note by note, with surprises always round the corner, taking you to the next musical scenario of a long journey through the different styles of modern guitar playing !
