Autumn 2005, after a relatively long break, Baltimoore released their eighth album âFanaticalâ. Now in brisk succession follows âKaleidoscopeâ, another slice of addictive hard rock which is available from band leader Björn Lodinâs own newly formed record label âBLP Musicâ. âKaleidoscopeâ will be released on April 24th 2006.
The bandâs trademark, vocalist Björn Lodin, with his unique distinctive voice is again both writer and producer and for the first time in the bands history the line-up is consistent with the last release â Hempo Hildén â Drums, Stefan Bergström â Guitar, Weine Johansson â Bass, and Magnus Sedenberg â Guitar â which shines through the music.
Initially the band were ready to tour after the release of âFanaticalâ but logistics of where band members lived proved a stumbling block at the time. Instead time was devoted to creating new material and itâs the energised band chemistry that allowed Kaleidoscope to be produced so quickly. Writing for the âKaleidoscopeâ took place in October 2005 with recording beginning soon after in November. Mixing/Mastering and Layout was done from January to March 2006 ready for release on April 24th 2006.
Sonically, âKaleidoscopeâ takes the raw hard rock approach of âFanaticalâ and adds a slightly harder darker edge, fans of classic hard rock will find âKaleidoscopeâ a breath of fresh air with it big riffs, great guitar tones, ultra tight rhythm section and stunning vocal melodies and delivery.
Two further Baltimoore albums are already scheduled for release highlighting the bands new found drive with expected release timescale's for these being mid October 2006 and March/April 2007.
'Kaleidoscope' is released April 24th and advance orders can be made at this very website now!
