Baron Samadhi is a 4 piece party band from Melbourne, Australia. The sound is a dangerously spicy blend of disco, soul, dancehall, jazz and a pinch of metal and country thrown in a pot and boiled until the lid bursts off.

Starting out in Canberra as a "joke" band in 2000, Baron Samadhi evolved to become the criminally tight, sexually charged super-group it is today. Rising to local infamy over two years, this band was at the forefront of the massive funk revival in the ACT. The Baron enjoyed huge popularity, consistently pulling over 400 fans to witness their outrageous onstage antics and over the top Porn Funk.

At the beginning of 2003, the boys all moved permanently to the fertile live music grounds of Melbourne. Starting from scratch, the Baron set about aggressively infiltrating the scene, using highly questionable methods to secure gigs (Including sending menacing black dildos to recalcitrant bookers). The hard work paid off, with the band securing major supportsand headlining shows at most of the premier venues in Melbourne. The band also began touring through eastern Oz, receiving universally stunned and delighted audiences in their wake, from Canberra to north Queensland.

Having recently returned from another successful tour including premier spots at the Woodford Folk Festival, the band have just released their new full length album; the highly anticipated âOn the S.S Anytimeâ. Featuring 12 tracks of discosouldancehallmetal madness, this is the most unexpected party album surprize of the year.
