Nick Allen (William Hall), saves a gangsters moll, Jo Elliott (Steffi Duna) that is being kidnapped by rival Gangsters. He frees her from there grasp and is shot as they run away. She takes him to her apartment and calls their Doctor. Her boyfriend Gangster Capper Regan (Dean Jagger) comes home and finds her with Nick and becomes jealous but she explains to him what happened. They are followed to the apartment by someone who calls the police. They make a break for it and Nick goes with them. One policeman is shot and killed by Regan and now they are wanted for murder. They hide out in an old abandoned farmhouse when their car breaks down. They meet Pop Adams (Charles Waldron) and his daughter Linda Adams (Anne Nagel) on a neighboring farm and stay with them as boarders and start to fix the farm up for the family. Nick falls in love with Linda and Jo the moll has an eye for the mayor. They all begin to rethink their future as criminals.
