(ID 908960)
California surf mixed with Brit pop yields 8 fresh mainstream originals from Billâs O.C. studio; featuring memorable melodies, catchy hooks and boatloads of guitar.

8 MP3 Songs
POP: California Pop, ROCK: Acoustic

Details:
Bill has played with The Malards, The Sound Foundation, Just Before 60, Wacks and Albion Moonlight. He and songwriting partner John Simon were "in-the-mix" for signing with Shelter Records in the late 70's along with The Dwight Twilley Band and Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.

While they didn't make the final cut they did perform in the Southern California area at places like The Cuckoo's Nest and Madame Wong's. These days Bill is focusing on writing and recording in his home studio. He has 2 current releases at CD Baby...Briardale and Watch Over Me.

1. Down in the Little Woods- Acoustic guitar solo in double drop D tuning. Drift down a dirt road to a back porch then lift up over the trees and thru the glen.

2. Thatâs My Car- My friend Jeff Askew played some great blues-driven lead guitar on this tune about the pride of cruisin' SoCal on your very own wheels.

3. Shadows on the Run- A positive take on how John Lennon might kick back and describe a great afternoon.

4. Iâll Be By Your Side- Life has plenty of ups and downs. We need to assure our friends that weâll always be there.

5. Let Freedom Ring- The message is clear. This is how I thought the Byrds would do it.

6. Till the Day that I Die- Sometimes ya just canât make ends meet!

7. When Children Grow Up- People will tell you that kids grow up too fast. Then one day you goâ¦They were right!!!

8. Month of Sundays- I wrote this a while back as a McCartney folksy thing. Here I've re-recorded it as an instrumental. Now it sounds like a car commercial. Vrrooom...
