After a decade of blood, sweat & feedback, Blister, a Raleigh NC based garage punk trio,
have become a fixture of the under, underground scene. The bands bare-knuckled delivery, gripping lyrics and lively performances garnered them early comparisons to a post-Nirvana version of the Ramones. But make no mistake, with the release of their new live CD, Alive Again, Blister has clearly captured their own distinct sound. Blasting out 12 tracks in just over 31 minutes, they blister through (pun intended) a fist full of classics and a six pack of previously unreleased songs. Add to that one Joe Strummer bone rattling rendition of the Clash anthem âShould I Stay or Should I Goâ, and this CD not only defines what blister is but sheds light on where they might be going
