Details:
This is the 2006 Album from the British Band The Blind Poets. Mostly the brainchild of Jim Rowbotham along with his writing partner Gary Keeble, "Into Tomorrow" was written and recorded last year at Jim's very own Studio-Rectory Records Studios, in Little Glemham, Suffolk.
The idea for this album was to show off the different sides of the Blind Poets sound. From the Rocky opener "Envy" to the blissed out Title track the Album is full of many different moods and textures. Harmonies are used extensively throughout the album, for instance on the track "Cross to Bear" there is an Accapella section which was sung by Jim, and Guitarists Jon Lowe and Graham Welham four times each-that makes 12 vocal parts!!!
However, this does not outshine some great instumental work on the album. Strings on "Other side of the Coin" and "Resurrection Days" feature heavily as well as Hammond Organ on "Baptism of Fire" and "Take my Byrden Home", alongside the Electric and Acoustic Guitars. Please feel free to play some of the song extracts to see what i mean!!
Many of the songs from this album have been played on many Local BBC Radio Stations and has had many great reviews since it's release.

Here are a few:

"A real feel for the unplugged groove" Folk Roots .

"Delicate selection of songs that sound better and better with repeated listening" East Anglian Daily Times.

âA passionate attention to song craftsmanship.â Losing Today.

âSuperb close vocal harmoniesâ East Anglian Magazine.

âThe Blind Poets are much like a graceful swan gliding across a pond, surrounded by ugly ducklings.â MUSICWORKZ.

âA series of gentle and charming songsâ East Anglian magazine.

âAn original group to reckoned with-the finest backwater release so farâ Grapevine.
