Description:

(ID 910727)
This very danceable country album dishes out songs of every flavor. Southern fried rock, a wedding waltz, spoon tappin' Cajun, beautiful ballads, and some interesting story telling.

10 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Rock, COUNTRY: Country Pop

Details:
I wrote these songs for a virtuoso country singer. She never quite got around to recording them so my husband suggested I record them myself. At first, I said "No Way!" But then, I thought, "What the heck." And so, over time I recorded these songs that I wrote. Richard Bredice brings his magnificent brilliance to this CD by playing guitar, drums, mandolin, keyboards, and yes...washboard.

Black Sage is the name of a local beautiful indigenous purple flower of southern California. I, too, am a native Californian raised on Linda Ronstadt, the Eagles, and Bonnie Raitt.

This CD, "Jack's Corner," is named after a tiny bar surrounded by sage-covered cattle grazing land that has survived the local development of southern California. Although you may work amongst the traffic and congestion of the city, you can drive for about a half an hour down a beautiful country road and come to this very special place where you can dance the night away.

My local newspaper reporter reviewed my CD and said, "She doesn't live in Nashville, own a closet full of cowboy boots, or frequent the rodeo; but, Kathy Ochiai can sing country/western music with the heartiness of Tanya Tucker and the snappiness of Shania Twain"

I think you'll agree that my CD provides pure entertainment and wonderful songs for dancing. What I really want to do now is write. If you need a songwriter, please contact me at kathomatho@yahoo.com Happy listening!
