A wild assortment of improvisational progressive rock, jazz fusion, Japanese influenced instrumentals, and experimental ambient atmosphere grooves power this album.
14 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Progressive Rock, ELECTRONIC: Experimental
Details:
"Super Vacuum" builds on the eclectic mélange of the previous three albums whilst breaking new ground in the atmospheric realm.
Heavy guitar licks abound in numerous songs that are reminiscent of Jeff Beck and The Cult. Japanese musical influences seep through on the tracks âTorii Danceâ and âOde to Shakuhachi.â The Andes and blues collide on âBlues for Macchu Picchu.â
A couple of jazz fusion tunes are thrown into the mix, with guest artists Artillus and Rolf Jackman adding their creative chops on bass and drums respectively on âEspagna Tu Trios.â Michaelâs brother Dave finds his âAsianâ percussive groove on âTorii Dance.â
Several of the heavy rock instrumentals are punchy and fun, with a certain fond nostalgia given towards early Jeff Beck and Ritchie Blackmore tossed in for good mix.
Thanks for listening, and enjoy!
Cheers,
Michael Blumenstock
