Blue News is unlike any other band you will find. Their unique original sound extends beyond current categorization yet it can fit comfortably in many different genres because of it's eclectic approach. They play music "from the heart, and for the soul" and there are hints of Rock, Blues, Folk and more, in their various original songs.
Blue News is the most recent project of Singer/Songwriter Brent Orndorff. The trio (which includes Clayton Page on Bass & Shawn Morgan on Drums) has a very distinct sound. Their music is heavily influenced by The Blues, Rock and several other styles. The band was formed in June of 2005 by Orndorff (vocals, guitars, keys), who has been in several original Rock bands, including The Groove Parade and CrookedM, since 1993.
Brent's solo album, "Never Stop Playing" (on which he performed almost all the instrumentation), was released in 2003 under his Blame Records label. The album recieved great reviews and even greater opportunities, including a record release offer from Statue Records Group of California and a spot in the New York Independent Film and Music Festival at Madison Square Garden.
