Details:
B-Cide

His name represents underestimated talent. âItâs about those collaborations with unknown artists that get released on the âBâ side of a hot single,â said B-Cide.

Since 1998 B-Cide has dedicated his life to his passion for making music. Born and raised in Utica, New York, B-Cide lives and breathes for the art. What started as just him and his friends messing around for fun evolved into his life passion. âI really canât think of anything else most of the time,â said B-Cide. âMusic is my life.â

Pop in his new CD, âThe Self-Proclaimed King,â and his distinct, raspy voice grabs the listenerâs attention from the intro. âI guess it is kind of like if Lilâ Jon had a white kid from Utica,â B-Cide joked. âI donât know how to describe my sound itâs just meâ

Master P, C-Murder, Ludacris and David Banner are inspirations of B-Cide and their influence comes across in his rhymes. âI donât try to be like anyone. Most of my inspiration comes from life in general but I do listen to a lot of Southern music,â said B-Cide.

B-Cideâs new album features 20 tracks and three bonus cuts. It is a mix of horror-core rap, club beats, and sentimental rhymes about life lessons and growing up in a broken home. âI will write about my mom having a bad day at work and then some shit about shooting a cop,â said B-Cide. âI donât stick to one particular style. If Iâm feeling a certain vibe from a beat I just get something in my head. Iâll lay down a track that is all fact and then one like âI didnât kill this bitch,â which just tells some crazy story that is a 100 percent escape from reality.â

âThe Self-Proclaimed Kingâ is B-Cideâs second solo album. âI am continuously evolving and I think my first album, âUpstate Madness: Welcome to Uticaâ (2003) was a little more angry,â said B-Cide. âThe new one is more in-your-face. Yaâll are gonna know I am the king and Iâm dropping my mic in the middle of the city.â

B-Cide has dropped numerous mix-tapes including 2006âs âFuck The Haters âThe Mix Tape,â and 2003âs compilation with other local artists, âThe Big East.â The mix tapes are getting plenty of street credibility and B-Cide even got personal props from C-Murder's record label, TRU Records for a remix he did on the rapperâs latest video.

B-Cide has performed in New York City, Ohio, New Orleans and Michigan. âPerforming is where it is at,â said B-Cide. âI will perform for one or 100,000 people, it is what I do. If I get that chance I am gonna rule the world.â

B-CIDE features long time partner, SHYSTY on this album, not only rapping but producing beats for the album. Not only will label mate SHYSTY be on the album, but X-KAL will be featured as well, not only rapping, but
producing a majority of beats for the album. B-CIDE will be featuring
hometown rappers from BRICK MONEY ENT. - G.A. & R. DOLLAZ for a little more of that East Coast flavor. B-CIDE also has a feature with the infamous and controversial West Coast Bay Area Horrorcore rapper MARS which is sure to leave an impact a listener will not soon forget. Adding a little R&B flavor to the album is EastSide Productions own JAMES MEENAN who really brings an amazing hook to the track I DON'T KNOW which is about a lost love of B-CIDE's.
