Butter Dogs

Butter Dogs acoustic Irish music band was formed by three young Japanese musicians in the Kansai (Osaka/Kyoto) area in 2004 and was immediately well received. They soon became highly regarded, not only for live performances, but also for lessons, workshops and studio work. Their appearance at The Celtic Christmas in Ritto in 2005 and 2004 in particular further boosted their reputation for great music and a great live show.

Butter Dogs play the traditional dance music and beautiful airs from the Celtic regions of Ireland, Brittany, Scotland, England, Galicia, and Cape Breton, and also their own original tunes. Their arrangements are fresh and highly original, influenced by the members' musical backgrounds in rock, traditional Celtic and Japanese music.

Butter Dogs' debut album Sky is due out in Spring 2006.
