Burgundy started out with their first release as a duo closer to styles of The Carpenters with mellow, dreamy moods. They have now evolved into a jazzy/funky band yet keep in line with their melodic lines and deeply driven lyrics. Although this second album gives you more the feeling of a "band" vibe, it stays true to their smooth style with a little taste of everything in each song. The sound is more in line with classic pop (think Stevie Wonder meets Chicago) and the vocals are even stronger than before! You'll find bluesy, belting vocals on "Too Real", sexy, sultry vocals on "After Ten" yet more modern, upbeat vocals on "Resurrection" which let you know she can sing to your mood.
