Original songs from a small cluttered studio; acoustic style, mostly.
11 MP3 Songs
FOLK: Modern Folk, FOLK: Power-folk
Details:
Homebrew is an album I brewed at home in my little studio, that has now also become an office and valuable storage space. The sound is a bit raw. I'm not the greatest sound engineer, but 16-track ADAT isn't too bad a way to go. I've sort of been away from music for a while, a mental sabbatical, I guess. Now I'm playing again. I couldn't stand the looks my guitars gave me. They glared at me from their stands and I could hear them whispering, like spiteful wags over a fence.
Age: 52
Music: Acoustic Rock, Alt Country, New Folk
Experience: Las Cucaraches Del Muerte, rock band '92-'95
multiple locales
Solo/Group perfomances:
Mt. Hood Salmon Festival/ Mushroom Fest, '99, '00, '01
Coffee People, Portland, Or.
Acoustic Village, Portland, Or.
Portland Songwiters Association
(board member 2000, vice president 2002)
Mt. Tabor Theater, Portland, Or.

Tom Petty, John Twist, Richard Thompson
Label: Gnomewerx Records (Gnomewerx Publishing)
Listening to Bill Woodâs songs makes the brow furrow and the mind wander. His arenât so much songs as commentary on the 20th century. Themes wander from politics, âWar Is A Weaknessâ to third world life, âWay Down In Boliviaâ, to religion, âMissionaryâ to animal experimentation, âOrloffâs Experimentâ and beyond.
Bill Wood released his first solo CD, Wild In The Galiuros in 1999 on the Gnomewerx label.
âThis is Bob Dylan finding Mark Knopfler on the way to meet Arlo Guthrie at a Starbucks.â
