Details:
This album consists of multiple pieces spread over a wide range of genres. All of the pieces are played by various arrangements of woodwind instruments. Woodwind instruments include: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, and Bass Clarinet. To help fill in the rest of the harmony/melody, Luke also plays the Guitar and Piano for some of the pieces. Also, on songs such as "Clockwork" and "Electrik Airstream" Luke wrote a seperate drum beat as background so the songs would more easily gain an electronic feel.

The title "Wood, Metal, and Wind" comes from all of the elements that truely create music. Also these three elements effectively describes the feel of the music on the album. The cover design is essentially a graphic interpretation of the name which also led to the design of the rest of the CD artwork.

Luke Pickman is a 18 year old musician. He has been playing flute for 9 years and has since learned the other instruments in the woodwind family. He also plays piano and classical guitar on the side. He wrote most of the pieces over the span of summer 2009.
