Maybe you haven't noticed, but SES has noticed. There is a dearth (yes I said dearth) of good old fashioned rock 'n' roll these days. The music I speak of is the brand we discovered in our parents abandoned vinyl collections. CD's had just arrived on the scene, and with them came the ironic loss of a lot of great American, British, and Australian rock. While we wouldn't dream of crowning ourselves some sort of rock and roll saviors, we certainly hope we are modern ambassadors to some ideals and concepts that seem to have been lost somewhere along the way. Guitar solos were important in the recording of this record. Not autotuning vocals was important. Having something to say lyrically was important on this record, because there's a hell of a lot more to talk about in our modern climate than girls, relationships, and getting drunk...although we do admittedly light on the subjects from time to time. We hope that this EP is a mere warm up exercise of things to come, if recent recording sessions are an indication, we feel confidant it is.
