Hip Hop has inspired people worldwide to think as individuals and create freely. With the genre at a crossroads Southern Californiaâs ILListic has used the music to release his inner thoughts and to relate to folks all over the world. The MC was first inspired from early west coast pioneerâs like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and the late great Tupac Shakur. âIâm from the Los Angeles area, if you didnât have The Chronic, Doggystyle, or All Eyez On Me something was wrongâ. His musical tastes would expand to the south and east coast ranging from Outkast, Big L, Jay-Z, Nas and Mos Def just to name a few. ILListic would his sharpen his skills and began writing his own songs at the tender age 11. âI would really just take songs I heard and mimic them, but the more my life started to unfold the more I was able to paint my own canvasâ.
