On or about June 23,2002, certain police officers of the Inglewood California police department sought out and attempted to kill Bee-Upone/Bee.Up.One ,whoâs legal name is Neilson Williams. This incident took place just days before the video taped beating of then 16 year old Donovan Jackson. On the video an officer of the Inglewood police department is clearly seen beating Donovan Jackson. This video tape was shown by the media all over the world. The same officer seen on the video tape beating Donovan Jackson, along with several other officers of the IPD was also involved with the beating and near death of Bee-Upone/Bee.Up.One legally known as Neilson Williams. Here is what Bee-Upone/Bee.Up.One legally known as Neilson Williams had to say about the incident. I feel like the officers involved with my beating were rookies that took it upon themselves to attack me in the way that they did. After I did an extensive investigation ,I feel it was an isolated incident. I do not feel that the entire Inglewood police department had something to do with my beating, nor do I feel that all police officers are corrupt. But the officers involved with beating me can definitely kiss my Black Ass. Bee-Upone decided to record and release the album GOT IT LOCKED DOWN(from the top to the bottom) with actual pictures of himself in the hospital after the beating, as the album cover.
