The Art Heist formed in June of 2005. Based out of St. Paul, Minnesota this rock quartet has startled music lovers across the mid-west. One fan quotes, âYour music is epic and refreshingâ¦the sound is clean, snappy, and easy to sing along.â After stirring up the local scene and gaining a wide fan base during the fall and winter of â05, Collin Pearson (vocals/synth), Bryan Schumann (guitars/piano), Chad Ponticas (bass), and John Olson (drums) began recording sessions at Winterland Studios featuring the engineering and production work of Brian Johnson (Coldplay, Prince, Golden). Three months later on March 5th of 2006, their debut EP A Way Out was released on Beznau Records. Within weeks after the recordâs release, the Art Heistâs tunes were being spun on several regional radio stations, as well as many of Minnesotaâs College Stations. In April of 2006, the Art Heist officially welcomed Chris Hunnicutt as the new bassist, who will join the Heist on their mid-west summer tour to promote their release. Writing sessions have begun for their full length album.
