They say all good things are from Philadelphia. The Philly cheesesteak, Philly pretzels, Frankie Avalon, James Darren, Fabian, the list is timeless and endless. STEVE ABBRUZZI is no exception to the rule.

Born and raised in South Philadelphia, there was always the smell of meatballs and gravy on Sundays and the sound of Italian music always filled the air. Steve came from a long line of family musicians.

His grandfather was a great jazz piano player, and his uncle still at 84 plays multiple instruments and sings in many languages. Steveâs mother plays three instruments and sings, while his father has been leading worship at their home church for over 30 years.

They say the apple donât fall far from the tree. At the age of eight Steve stared and sang in the musical â Oliver âin Philadelphia. He studied music and trumpet for over 10 years under the supervision of Mr. Joseph Primavera, lead violinist and conductor for the Philadelphia Orchestra. Steve had the unique opportunity to study Italian opera and voice theory under the tutelage of Mario Lanzaâs voice teacher for one year.

With the desire and ability to entertain, Steve started singing and writing gospel music. This eventually produced 2 albums and a recording contract with Refuge Records in Nashville. Having written, arranged and co-producing both albums, one of Steveâs original songs made airplay and hit the charts in Canada. Traveling with a well known author and celebrity, providing music, Steve has sung in many of the largest venues in America as well as performing on the 700 Club in Virginia Beach, on several occasions. He also has performed twice at the Kingdom Bound festival in Buffalo N.Y. with well over 35,000 people in attendance. Steve has also opened for many of the top gospel artists including David Meece, D.C.Talk, and opened up twice for Carman at the Palace Theatre in N.Y.

Steve has now been married for 25 years to his lovely wife Josie. Together they have three beautiful children, Chris, Jennifer and Jessica. After some years of not being on the road, Steve is now back, and better than ever, doing what he loves most, sharing his music and heritage.

Now, singing the songs of his youth, as well as his parents and grandparents. Steve says these songs bring back good and wholesome memories of when life was simpler, and less complicated.

Singing the songs of many of his favorite singers, like, Dean Martin, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Al Martino, Louie Prima, Harry Connick and much much more.

Steve has just finished his new CD with record producer Jimmy Mac, in L.A.,and Falcon Records, BESAME MUCHO is the new title. Steve promises to bring back the memories and transport you to another time. So whatever your doing Stop, sit back, put a log on the fire, hold someoneâs hand, and enjoy the moment with STEVE ABBRUZZI.

Vive Bene, Spesso Lamore, DiRisalta Molte...

Ciao

Steve
