WHERE IT ALL STARTED

Born in Brooklyn, raise in a little brownstone on Putnam Ave in the backyard with his dog named Africa who was Ab's number one fan. In the yard show A.B.lewis would sing to his invisible audience and every flower would clap at each performance while his dog just wagged her tail.

Some people are born with the gift of song, from a child AB has always love to sing and write songs it was the way he expressed himself. A.B.Lewis is a very low key simple person who still likes to see the sun raise in the mornining or take walks in the park to actualy sit and watch a flower bloom. Ab does not consider himself a musician but he has learned enough cords to express his feelings to you.

Well all grown up now with a family of his own AB has learned over the years what it means to have a family being a father of six going through the ups and downs of life wanting to sometimes quit but knowing that you can't. Ab wants to lift your spirits up, give you a good a time and make you think about how easy it is just to be a nice person.

He wants you to know that no matter how you feel about things God sees us better then we may even see ourselves.

Ab does not like titles, he just wants you to enjoy Life and all it has to offer. "What You Looking For" is a mixture of the many moods we sometimes fall into.

Ab has worked with serveral up and comming artist in the past people who all share the same dream of letting the world hear their songs of joy,love and pain.

A motto that AB has come to live by is that 'Time tells all truths'. In time you will either get tired or get mad and make a change for the better, but whatever you do you have to understand, that the only one that has the power to do anything in your life is you, so as you listen to his music Ab wants you to imbrace each day with the thought that you can be whatever you want to be and be happy with yourself for God loves all of us and wants us all to be happy people.

It's so easy to be hurtful, not caring seems to come natural with some people. We don't have control over others but we can try to be better ourselves and be the example instead of just hoping and wishing, we need to just start doing more.


When you are just tired of the same old thing and want to relax A.B.Lewis is âwhat you are looking forâ this Brooklyn born producer/songwriter wants you to remember the time when a song had substance and really tugged at your heart. Donât let his laid back jazzy r & b sound fool you when inspiration hits his early 80âs sound takes you to a time when groups like Hall and Oats, Kashif & Dtrain ruled the charts. Some say that sound is dated but A.B.Lewis still believes that a good song will stand the test of time.

As a Producer Ab has worked with up and coming recording artist and Producerâs such as Mike Dolo of MD2020, Breaking Ground Entertainment âMr. Washington & K-Ron da Immaculate, Producer Kayzee know known as kayblessed in which he acted as Recording Eng. Sometimes assisting in the production and mix of their independent release of âPlace your orderâ in which they sold over 300 copies before any promotion was even started DeAlan, Asia Blue, Jimmy Wells, Da ILL Oneâs, Dina Roach, Sista Sister, Long-term Records âGolly Gâ who just completed his next soon to be indie release entitled âLadies Editionâ also early this past year a children project written by the famed playwright J.E Franklin of Black Girl and Singer songwriter Sheryl Pattillo. Ab hopes to build upon his musical career buy teaming up with Producer and Songwriterâs such as Big Pope of Psalms of Paradise, Melinda and many others. Although ab has a small fan base at this time his sound is quickly being felt and recognized through his first album release entitled âWhat You looking Forâ ab will be the first to tell you he is not a musician but the single âwalks in the parkâ has received such a good response from all of his friends that ab has decided to release an instrumental Cd Entitled â Random Thoughtsâ in January 2007.

Only time will tell what ab will do next but his goal is to bridge the gap between the generations of music lovers who just love to listen to a good song weather it be jazz instrumental, ballads or an uplifting contemporary gospel tune ab want to follow in the steps of all the other great songwriterâs and producerâs who have left the mark on the music business.
