From the Editor in Chief: Hello once again dear faithful readers; this is the most twisted and intense issue yet. We have the most outrageous model for this one, MISTRESS PURGATORI. Also we have interviews with Alien Vampires, Jungle Rot, The Clockwork Dolls, Martine Lund Hoel, , and our featured interviews withSINING and Sleep Chamber. John Zewizz has returned from a ten year hiatus. Plus this issue will be fetish and Steam Punk related-I know what you are thinking: Some have problems with Victorian dystopian concepts but I myself find it fascinating. Anyways this is issue is huge and twisted and not for the kids to check out. We are not responsible for any damage to the brain or visual imparities on account of our content. As always I could not have done this without my layout designer, Regina SteedFord, and my editor, Niki Perry (both visionary geniuses). Check out our review sections they are diverse and well worth it. Remember your voice is important and can not be silenced not as long as we're around. Jungle Rot are a mixture of Death, Thrash, and Hardcore meshed perfectly together. The vocals are intense and pure guttural brutality, while the guitars are doom-laden and technical. The Bass and the drums are blistering evil accompanying the vocals and guitars; Dave Matrise delivers both with utter precision and sickness. They have a new release on Napalm Records aptly titled What Horrors Await. We were fortunate enough to have an interview with Jungle Rot and an insight into their views on the new CD and the Metal scene in general. 1.CAM: Thank you for taking We have a style that is a signature time out to talk with us. What makes this new release stand out from the previous releases? JR: I feel we started to go back to the basic on this one and started to play fast again. We still stayed with the old school grooves that we are known for. Anyone that knows JR will know it's us when they play it. JR: I knew Marti Pain form the days when we were on Olympic records . He owned it before he sold it to Centry Media records and then went under after putting out two CD with them. I have always had a good working relationship with him in the past, and he said he was running the U.S. office for Napalm now. I sent a new promo to them and they made us an offer. 4.CAM: Where was the new release recorded and who engineered it? JR: It was recorded at Bell City Sound Recording in Racine WI, buy Chris Dejuric. We had done all 6 |
