A trio of friends formed the rock band â Attic â in 1999, and it has evolved in the Detroit area ever since. Erik Loeding (Lead Vocals,Guitar), Trey Bullard ( Background Vocals, Bass ), and Jeff Borke ( Background Vocals, Drums).Testing out cover tunes and dabbling in songwriting these friends decided to put some ideas down on a CD and put it out.
Erik and Jeff were fraternity brothers at Ferris State University and the up north spirit came quickly to their band "Buzz On" when Erik wrote the infamous song â Trailer Park Girlâ!
They added Flint's own Trey Bullard in 1999 to bring the bass lines to life and form Attic. Erik began to write some other fun and freaky tunes in 2001, and Trey and Jeff put down their signatures on them. These crazy songs about life, along with a different take on the song âTrailer Park Girlâ became what is now the full length album â Leave Your Pride at the Door â! Recorded in 2 days and published in 2002 this album was stripped down to the basics. Songs about LOVE, PAIN, FRIENDSHIP, SEX, AND PARTYING were the motif! While having fun playing the album live, Jeff met the love of his life and decided to grow up on them much quicker than expected. Jeff got married and moved to the West Side of Michigan and is doing great!
The group âAttic â was retooled with new drummer John â Booger â Minthorn, and Ted Barringer on guitar. Attic is one of the most sought after live acts in the Detroit area and mostly plays fun party cover tunes but because of requests still brings out â Leave Your Pride at the Doorâ tunes!
