Caution: Alwayswearsafetyglassestopreventfumesormoltensolderfromgettingintotheeyes.Lead freesoldercansplatterathightemperatures(600°C). Printedcircuitboardsusingleadfreesolderareengravedwithan"F." Themeltingpointofleadfreesolderis40-50°Chigherthanleadedsolder. SolderwithanalloycompositionofSn-3.0Ag-0.5CuorSn-0.7Cuisrecommended. Althoughservicingwithleadedsolderispossible,thereareafewprecautionsthathavetobetaken.(Not takingtheseprecautionsmaycausethesoldertonothardenproperly,andleadtoconsequentmalfunctions.) Precautions when using leaded solder Removeallleadfreesolderfromsolderedjointswhenreplacingcomponents.
