Details:
My full name is Benjamin Alexander Seifert, but I am most commonly known by Alex Seifert. I was born on September 16, 1987 in Denver, Colorado. I speak English, German, and Japanese. My interests include making music (obviously), learning languages, sleeping, badminton, photography, webdesign, graphics design, and other thing various things that are too many to list here.

My interest in making music began when a friend of mine showed a program he purchased for the computer. It included pre-recorded, royal-free loops, of which the average Joe could drag onto a time line and have his or her own song finished within minutes. That looked like fun, so I went out and purchased a program similar to his. At the time I was using an Apple Macintosh, so I purchased the brand new Garageband which Apple had just newly released. I played with it and played with it and played with it. My first few songs were something of a mess, but I kept playing and trying new things all the same.

Eventually, my Apple iBook that I had been using died. That meant I had to purchase another program for a Windows PC, since I did not have to money to buy another Apple Macintosh. The program I purchased was a small program, which did not include pre-recorded loops. This meant I had to find another way to make music. I quickly found a cheap solution, and borrowed a keyboard one of my good friend's older brother had, but did not use for making music anymore. In fact, he had used it as a paint ball target for quite some time. Fortunately, it still worked. And with a little cleaning, it was as good as new (except a bit sticky).

Without any pre-recorded loops to aide my music creation, I had to learn how to play the keyboard. After several attempts at it, it seemed hopeless. I took a break from music creation for a while. One day, when cleaning up my room, I found the keyboard again which I had stuffed into a corner. I pulled it out, dusted it off, plugged it in, and tried again. This time I had more success. I made a couple of songs, which can be found on my singles A Trek through the Woods and Träume, which I found to be decent compared to my past works. Since one thing leads to the next, I went out and purchased another program (again, without pre-recorded loops). This one allowed me to do far more with what I recorded as well as not have such a rediculous limit as six tracks per song. Using this program is where most of my tracks have come from.

The Corridor is my latest album and probably my best so far. It features unique music geared more towards my style than the previous albums. I hope you enjoy it and keep on listening!
