Details:
Don Alexander is a Louisiana born-and-raised multi-instrumentalist (he can also play keyboards and sing). This CD is a sax instrumental work but he is just as likely to come out with a funky Louisiana blues band project next. Don loves to perform live and currently works in the locals scene in Las Vegas. This CD features jazz, light rock, ballads, and latin rhythms unified by a full and smoky sax tone. Nine of the eleven tracks are originals.
Here are some notes he made concerning Wake Up To Love:
I had made the sax a part of my act for so many years, that fans began coming in just to hear me do that. I had women coming in to get their sax fix. I had musicians coming in to hear 'that tone I was getting', or the vibe I had. I realized that something was happening here, and I'd better work with it. In addition, I've often wanted to listen to a recording that just was a comfort; not noisy, but smooth and relaxing yet energizing at the same time. This CD was an effort to provide that."
