In a time of media mass confusion, there is very little that contains shock value. Music on the radio (which, by the way, invades our children's ears and attention) has set the trend of allowing vulgar lyrics used in the mainstream. Similarly, shows on television and the big screen have become more and more graphic, exposing our children to sexually explicit images. Groups and activists have been working to minimize this negative trend. One such person, All Perpoz (AP), is leading the march of young new talent committed to bringing clean, inspirational, message-filled music entertainment to the public (masses).
AP, born Robert Pene, has a heart for the youth of today. He was born in Portland, Oregon, raised in American Samoa, and spent his college years in Michigan. AP grew up listening to the Golden Age of West Coast rap when Snoop Dog, Warren G, and Dr. Dre were making noise. AP quickly personalized the music and began rapping. He then moved to Michagan and immediately became influenced by hip hop in the Midwest. From Nelly to Eminem, to Royce 5'9, AP adapted to the style and quickly found himself making music on a consistent basis. When AP gave his life to God, his passion for music grew as quick as wildfire and his heart for the youth followed.
Now more than ever, we need a positive perspective within our communities to surface. As the next hip hop artist to hit the streets, AP purposes to bring light to the darkness. He follows the lead of the Holy Spirit, because AP is a committed follower of Christ.
